China Unveils Six Initiatives for Global Security at Shangri-La Dialogue 🌏✨

At the 21st Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun shared China's vision for a safer, more harmonious world. 🛡️🌈

Dong introduced six key measures aimed at enhancing global security, including the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative. These initiatives emphasize building a community with a shared future for humanity and drawing on \"Asian wisdom\" to foster consensus and cooperation. 🤝📘

\"People in the Asia-Pacific are committed to pursuing harmony, are peace-loving, independent, and self-reliant,\" Dong stated, highlighting the region's dedication to maintaining stability and supporting each other through challenges.

China is eager to collaborate with all countries and regions to protect legitimate security interests, establish a fair international order, and advance open defense cooperation. This includes strengthening maritime security and enhancing security governance in emerging areas. 🌊🛡️

Regarding regional hotspots, Dong noted that the South China Sea has seen overall stability and urged concerned parties to engage in dialogue and consultation to resolve differences. 🗣️⚖️

Additionally, Dong emphasized the commitment of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army to ensure peace and security in the Taiwan Strait, addressing concerns about \"Taiwan independence\" initiatives. 🏝️🔒

Throughout the event, Dong engaged with senior defense officials from countries including the United States, Canada, Thailand, Japan, Australia, France, Cambodia, and New Zealand. He also held discussions with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the high representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. 🤝🌐
