Poland’s President to Visit China, Marking 75 Years of Diplomatic Ties 🌏🤝

Polish President Andrzej Duda is set to embark on a state visit to China from June 22 to 26 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Thursday. This high-profile trip comes as the two nations celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations—a milestone highlighting their long-standing partnership.

What’s on the Agenda?

President Xi and President Duda will hold talks to chart a roadmap for future cooperation, discuss mutual interests, and witness the signing of key partnership documents. Chinese Premier Li Qiang and National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji will also meet with Duda separately, emphasizing the depth of cross-sector collaboration.

From Belt and Road to Central Europe

China-Poland relations have strengthened in recent years, with both sides prioritizing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and China-Central and Eastern European (CEE) collaboration. The visit aims to expand political trust and economic ties, further enriching their 'comprehensive strategic partnership.'

Why It Matters

Poland was among the first countries to recognize the People’s Republic of China in 1949. Today, it remains a critical partner in Europe for trade, tech, and infrastructure—making this visit a key moment for global diplomacy watchers.
