The Communist Party of China (CPC) has achieved a remarkable milestone by reaching 99.185 million members by the end of 2023, reflecting a 1.2% growth from the previous year.
Strengthening its grassroots presence, the CPC now encompasses 5.176 million grassroots-level organizations, which include 298,000 grassroots-level Party committees. This expansive network underscores the Party’s deep-rooted influence across various communities.
Highlighting diversity within its ranks, the CPC boasts 30.185 million female members, accounting for 30.4% of the total membership. Additionally, 7.592 million ethnic minority members make up 7.7% of the Party, showcasing its commitment to inclusive representation.
The majority of CPC members are comprised of workers, farmers, technical personnel, and managers from enterprises and institutions, reflecting the Party’s broad appeal and reach across different sectors of society.
