New Travel Permits Boost HK, Macao-Mainland Connectivity 🌏✈️

In a move set to simplify cross-border travel, non-Chinese permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macao can now apply for Mainland Travel Permits starting July 10! 🎉 The policy, announced on the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China, aims to strengthen ties and accelerate regional integration.

The permits are valid for 5 years and allow multiple entries to the Chinese mainland with stays up to 90 days. While they enable tourism, business exchanges, and family visits, they don’t cover work, study, or journalism—those still require separate visas. Applications go through designated agencies like China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Ltd, with replacement options available both on the mainland and abroad. 🛂

🇨🇳 A National Immigration Administration spokesperson called the move a “bridge for talent and cultural exchange,” highlighting its role in supporting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development. The initiative aligns with China’s push for high-quality growth and deeper regional collaboration. 💼✨
