China and Ghana Strengthen Ties as They Forge Strategic Partnership 🚀🤝

In a significant move, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced the elevation of China-Ghana ties to a strategic partnership on Thursday. The historic announcement took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing during the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

President Xi highlighted the steadfast friendship between China and Ghana over the past 64 years, emphasizing a commitment to enhance political mutual trust and advance cooperation in various sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, energy, mineral resources, and infrastructure. He expressed China's readiness to align development strategies with Ghana and continue providing assistance to support the country's growth.

President Akufo-Addo lauded China as Ghana's most reliable friend and partner, praising Chinese investment and cooperation for significantly contributing to Ghana's economic and social development. He reiterated Ghana's commitment to the one-China principle and expressed eagerness to deepen collaboration in areas like electricity, minerals, and new energy.

The leaders also discussed the implementation of President Xi's 10 partnership actions to jointly advance modernization with Africa, underscoring a shared vision for the future. This strategic partnership marks a new chapter in China-Ghana relations, promising enhanced collaboration and mutual growth.
