China and UN Join Forces for Africa’s Future

In a significant move towards global collaboration, Chinese premier Xi Jinping announced on Thursday that the Chinese mainland is set to enhance its cooperation with the United Nations to support Africa's peace, stability, and development.
The statement was made during Xi's meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Beijing, where the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) was underway.
Xi emphasized that China's growing relationship with Africa is driven by a genuine commitment to aid rather than selfish interests. \"I proposed the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, with the hope that people across the world, including those in Africa, can enjoy a better life,\" he stated.
He also praised the UN for its consistent focus on Africa and highlighted that China's modernization efforts will bring more opportunities globally, fostering peace and shared development.
This collaboration aims to revitalize Africa's growth and ensure a stable and prosperous future for its nations.
