Wang Yi Backs Lebanon Amid Escalating Tensions 🕊️

China reaffirmed its commitment to peace in the Middle East as Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Lebanon’s top diplomat Abdallah Bou Habib in New York this week. The talks spotlighted growing global concern over civilian casualties and Israel’s intensified airstrikes, which Lebanon says have claimed over 300 lives recently. 💥

🔹 China’s Stance: Wang condemned attacks on civilians as “violations of international norms,” urging solidarity among Arab nations and a “permanent ceasefire” in the conflict. He stressed China’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and a two-state solution to resolve tensions.

🔹 Lebanon’s Plea: Bou Habib thanked China for its “justice-driven diplomacy,” calling small nations’ independence “non-negotiable.” He highlighted challenges facing Lebanon, where residents grapple with both security threats and economic instability.

Wang also pressed for stronger protections for Chinese citizens in Lebanon, with Bou Habib vowing to prioritize their safety. 🌏 As geopolitical tensions rise, China positions itself as a key advocate for developing nations in global forums.
