Several of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet and administration picks were recently targeted by bomb threats and \"swatting incidents,\" according to the Trump transition team on Wednesday.
\"Last night and this morning, several of President Trump's Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, un-American threats to their lives and those who live with them,\" Trump transition spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated.
These attacks included everything from bomb threats 💣 to swatting incidents – where false emergency calls trigger a massive law enforcement response to an innocent person's location 🚓👮♂️.
Law enforcement acted swiftly to ensure the safety of those involved, as per the team’s statement on X.

CBS News reported these targeted attacks, highlighting the increasing tensions as Trump prepares for administration roles.
A White House spokesperson mentioned that Democratic President Joe Biden has been briefed about these threats. \"The president and the administration unequivocally condemn threats of political violence,\" the spokesperson added.
These incidents come months after an assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania last July. In September, another man was charged with attempting to assassinate Trump outside a Florida golf course.
