China & Italy Boost Ties with New Business Report 🌏💼

In a move that’s shaking up the global economy, China and Italy just doubled down on their partnership at the launch of the 2024 Development Report on Chinese Enterprises in Italy in Milan. 🚀 The event highlighted how these collaborations are fueling jobs, innovation, and mutual growth—even amid challenges like trade barriers.

A Win-Win Partnership

Yan Dong, president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy (CCCIT), revealed that 92 Chinese companies surveyed have poured investments into Italy’s economy while tackling regulatory hurdles. ‘This report isn’t just data—it’s a roadmap for stronger ties,’ Yan said, calling for smoother business policies.

Lombardy’s Strategic Role

Lombardy, Italy’s economic powerhouse, attracts over 50% of Chinese investments in the country, with 60% of firms planning to expand there by 2027. 🏗️ ‘We’re ready to unlock new opportunities,’ said Raffaele Cattaneo of the Lombardy Region.

Chinese Consul General Liu Kan emphasized China’s commitment to ‘peaceful development’ and stabilizing global supply chains, while Italy’s Andrea Tabella vowed to work with CCCIT to ‘build bridges, not walls.’ 🛠️

With 120+ members in sectors like tech and manufacturing, CCCIT’s report marks a first-of-its-kind deep dive into Sino-Italian business dynamics. 💡
