Iran has strongly condemned fresh U.S. sanctions targeting its oil exports, calling the move a violation of international law and human rights. The U.S. Treasury defended the sanctions as part of efforts to curb Iran’s oil revenue, citing executive orders from the Trump era. But Tehran insists the move will backfire, warning it could hold Washington "internationally accountable."
