China to Push Back Against U.S. Visa Restrictions on Xizang Officials 🌏✈️

China has announced **reciprocal measures** after the United States imposed visa restrictions on Chinese officials linked to the Xizang Autonomous Region, escalating diplomatic tensions over what Beijing calls “gross interference in internal affairs.” 🔥

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun slammed the U.S. move during a press briefing Tuesday, stating that Xizang—a region known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes🏔️—remains fully open to international visitors. Over 320,000 foreign tourists explored the region in 2024 alone! 🎒

“The U.S. actions violate international law and disrespect China’s sovereignty,” Guo emphasized. He stressed that China takes **lawful measures** to protect foreign visitors in Xizang due to its unique geography and climate, ensuring safety without compromising accessibility.

Meanwhile, China accused U.S. officials of “groundless slander” regarding Xizang’s human rights and cultural development, urging Washington to stop supporting “Xizang independence” factions. 🇨🇳🤝 “We welcome foreigners to visit, but they must follow Chinese laws,” Guo added, signaling no tolerance for external pressure.
