UN Chief Slams Gaza Journalist Deaths 🕊️✊

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has demanded accountability after six Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City this week. Calling it a “grave violation of press freedom,” Guterres urged an independent probe into the attack through spokesperson Stephane Dujarric.

🔊 “These killings show the extreme risks journalists face daily in conflict zones,” Dujarric stated during a UN briefing. Over 240 media workers have lost their lives in Gaza since hostilities began – a staggering toll that’s sparked global outrage.

📡 The UN chief emphasized that journalists must be protected to report safely, stressing: “Their work is vital to transparency.” With press freedom advocates comparing Gaza to modern journalism’s deadliest hotspot, calls grow louder for international action.
