Soccer fever is back! The 2024 Village Super League (VSL) Finals launched with a bang in Rongjiang County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, as Pingdi Village faced Kouzhai Village in an electrifying opener.
After intense preliminaries with 62 teams over six weeks, 20 squads have advanced to the finals. Divided into two groups, the top four from each will battle in knockout rounds—and this year’s debut of eight new teams adds a wildcard twist!
To spice up the competition, teams can recruit players from eliminated squads. Rosters max out at 35 players, with up to five born outside Rongjiang (but still in Guizhou)—and only three of those can play per game. Pro tip: Watch for underdogs turning into MVP material!
