Xinjiang Flying Tigers forward Abdusalam Abdurexit has been crowned the 2023-24 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) MVP after a standout season. The star player, who hails from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, racked up 471 votes, including 65 first-place nods from media, to clinch the league’s top honor.

From 17th to Runner-Up: A Team Effort 🚀

Abdusalam played all 52 games this season, averaging 19 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. His leadership helped propel Xinjiang from 17th place last year to second in the standings—a Cinderella story for the books! Coach Qiu Biao also earned Coach of the Year for steering the team’s epic comeback.
