🏀✨ The 2023-24 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season concluded with a thrilling announcement on Monday, as Xinjiang Flying Tigers forward Abdusalam Abdurexit was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Abdusalam secured the MVP title with an impressive 471 points, earning 65 out of 145 first-place votes from media representatives. His dedication was evident as he played all 52 regular-season games, starting 51 of them, and boasting averages of 19 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. His stellar performance propelled Xinjiang from a 17th place finish last season to becoming the runner-up this year. 🌟

Xinjiang’s success was a team effort, with head coach Qiu Biao also receiving the Coach of the Year award. Jared Sullinger of the Shenzhen Aviators took home the Best Foreign Player award, averaging 21.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.

The Qingdao Eagles' center Yang Hansen had a standout season, earning both the Defensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors. Meanwhile, Wu Qian from the Zhejiang Golden Bulls was named the Sixth Man of the Year, and Shanghai Sharks sophomore forward Li Hongquan received the Most Improved Player award.
