Greece, a longstanding basketball powerhouse in Europe, hasn't made an appearance in the Summer Olympic Games since 2008. Their journey in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup ended in the second group stage, missing out on an automatic spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The host nation will be one of the four locations for the pre-Olympic qualifiers. In the preliminary round of Group B, Greece will compete against Egypt and the Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, Slovenia, New Zealand, and Croatia are set to compete in Group A.
