Paris just took a major leap toward #Olympics2024 with a high-energy athletics test event at the Stade de France! Young athletes from France and beyond sprinted, jumped, and threw their way across the revamped arena this week, giving organizers a sneak peek at the stadium’s readiness.
The upgraded venue now boasts 150 energy-efficient LED floodlights and massive tennis-court-sized screens (240+ sq. meters!) to amp up the spectator experience. Over 200 events—including track, para-athletics, and rugby sevens—will light up this space starting July 26.
French sprinter Raphalledy Guillaume raved about the track: \"I felt like I was flying… The track allows us to take off!\" While he didn’t beat his personal best, the vibe was all about #OlympicSpirit and testing next-gen infrastructure.
With renovations ongoing since 2021, Paris is racing to deliver a sustainable, visually stunning Games. Will this be the most Instagrammable Olympics yet? Stay tuned!
