Meet Sun Hai, a 42-year-old breaker from Harbin who’s turning his lifelong passion into Olympic cheerpower! For over two decades, Sun has spun, popped, and locked his way across stages, building a thriving breakdance community in China’s northeast while mentoring the next gen of B-Boys and B-Girls.
Now, he’s taking his energy to Paris to rally behind China’s historic breaking team at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Three athletes – Liu Qingyi, Zeng Yingying, and Qi Xiangyu – will make their debut as breaking becomes an official Olympic sport for the first time ever.
