Two of China’s top equestrian athletes, Alex Hua Tian and Sun Huadong, have officially ridden into the spotlight at Versailles’ iconic palace grounds 🏰 – the fairytale-like venue for Paris 2024’s equestrian events!
Hua Tian, a four-time Olympian born in London, arrived with his 15-year-old horse Chocs after overcoming post-Brexit travel hurdles. 🐴✈️ ‘Paperwork and customs felt like an extra obstacle course,’ he joked, referencing the UK’s EU exit complications.
Meanwhile, Sun Huadong landed in France from the Netherlands with his trusted partner Lady 🐎❤️ – a horse he’s trained since 2018. ‘She’s wiser and stronger at 14,’ Sun shared, calling their second Olympic bid ‘a dream written in hoofbeats.’
Both athletes will compete amid Versailles’ Baroque grandeur starting July 27 – proving once again that Olympic grit meets royal elegance! 👑💪
