Kylian Mbappe Ends La Liga Drought with Double in Real Madrid's Win Over Betis

In an electrifying performance at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Kylian Mbappe broke his La Liga scoring drought with two goals, leading Real Madrid to a convincing 2-0 victory over Real Betis on Sunday.
Despite only finding the back of the net once in the UEFA Super Cup final last month and going scoreless in his previous three Spanish league games, Mbappe rose to the occasion when it mattered most.
\"I was looking forward to scoring in this legendary stadium, the best in the world,\" Mbappe shared. \"But the most important thing was the victory.\"
Mbappe opened the scoring in the 67th minute with a slick left-footed shot following a clever backheel pass from Federico Valverde. He then sealed the deal with a penalty kick in the 75th minute after a foul on Vinicius Junior.
Real Madrid had a rocky start to the season, drawing two of their first three games, but this win moves them closer to the top, just four points behind leaders Barcelona, who have an undefeated start.
\"After the game against Las Palmas we knew that we had to win and we did it,\" Mbappe said. \"It was a tough match, but we are Real Madrid and in the end we won it.\"
Coach Carlo Ancelotti praised the team's overall performance, emphasizing that the collective effort was key to the victory.
The win also marked Real Madrid's fifth consecutive league game without conceding a goal at the Bernabeu, a record that dates back to 1996. The team remains unbeaten in 26 home league games, with 22 wins and four draws – the best streak under Ancelotti.
Meanwhile, Real Betis remains winless after three games, with two draws so far.
Young Brazilian forward Vitor Roque made an impact as a second-half substitute for Betis, who are currently on loan from Barcelona.
