Tianjin Bohai Bank has made a powerful stride at the FIVB Women's Club World Championship by clinching the top position in Pool A. In an intense showdown on Friday in Hangzhou, Tianjin secured a straight-sets victory over Brazil's Gerdau Minas.

The match was highlighted by outstanding performances from Tianjin's captain, Li Yingying, and Minas' opposite, Kisy Nascimento, both tallying 22 points each. With this win, Tianjin advances to the semifinals, where they will face Pool B's second-placed Dentil Praia Clube of Brazil later on Saturday.

Tianjin kicked off the game with high energy as Li Yingying unleashed a formidable serve that left Minas struggling to respond, giving Tianjin an early four-point lead. Wang Yizhu's impressive smash further showcased Tianjin's excellent team coordination, leading to a 25-19 victory in the opening set.

The second set remained fiercely competitive, with Tianjin capitalizing on a serving error by Amanda Marques of Minas to gain a slight advantage. Minas' captain, Thaisa Menezes, also made a critical serving mistake, allowing Tianjin to secure the set 25-22.

In the decisive third set, Li Yingying maintained her exceptional form, consistently putting pressure on Minas and helping Tianjin close out the match with another 25-22 win. Reflecting on the victory, Li emphasized the importance of mindset, stating, \"My goal for this Club World Championship is simply to play with joy, and enjoy each match as much as possible, while also showcasing my best physical condition and competitive form at this stage. So far, these matches have met my expectations, even exceeding them in some ways.
