China’s Diving Duo Shines with Gold at World University Games 🏅

Chinese divers Ou Yangyu and Wang Weiying delivered a nail-biting performance to snatch gold in the women’s synchronized 3m springboard final at the 2025 World University Games in Berlin! 🌊 The pair faced fierce competition from 10 other teams but clinched victory with a stunning final dive scoring 71.10 points – the highest of the competition. 🎉

After a shaky third round, the duo bounced back like true champions, widening their lead to 15 points before sealing the win. Germany took bronze, while the U.S. claimed silver. 🥈🥉

In men’s diving, China’s Hu Yukang narrowly missed gold in the 3m springboard, finishing just behind Germany’s Moritz Wesemann. Meanwhile, swimmers Ai Yanhan and Liu Shuhan powered through to qualify for the 100m freestyle final after helping China win 4×100m relay silver earlier this week. 🏊♀️

The Games also saw fireworks in swimming records: South Africa’s Pieter Coetze smashed the men’s 100m backstroke University Games record, while Team USA’s Leah Shackley blazed to gold in the women’s 200m backstroke. ⚡

Fencing fans cheered as individual neutral athlete Dmitrii Shvelidze and Italy’s Aurora Grandis claimed gold in dramatic epee and foil finals. 🤺
