Swiss Stars Shine at Chengdu World Games 🥇🇨🇭

Switzerland’s Riccardo Rancan sprinted into history books today, snagging the first gold medal 🥇 at the 2025 Chengdu World Games with a blazing 45:22 finish in the men’s foot orienteering middle-distance race. The Swiss athlete left competitors in the dust, while China’s Tang Jianda and Liu Xiaoming finished 18th and 23rd, respectively.

Not to be outdone, Swiss runner Simona Aebersold dominated the women’s event, completing a golden double for Switzerland 🇨🇭! Slovakia’s Tereza Smelikova claimed silver 🥈, and Sweden’s Alva Sonesson took bronze 🥉.
