China’s C919 Takes Off on First Overseas Chartered Flight

Exciting news in the skies! A milestone has been reached as China Eastern Airlines (CEA) launched the C919 jetliner's first overseas commercial chartered flight this Saturday.

The journey took off from Hong Kong International Airport on Saturday morning and soared to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, welcoming over 100 young Hong Kong talents aboard.

This flight marks the arrival of the sixth C919 jetliner to the CEA fleet, signifying a rapid acceleration in the commercial operations of China's homegrown large passenger aircraft.

One year ago, the C919 made its debut commercial flight, paving the way for China to compete in the global civil aviation market, which has been long dominated by giants like Boeing and Airbus.
