A groundbreaking report by the McKinsey Global Institute reveals that artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to revolutionize labor markets worldwide by 2030.
Titled \"A new future of work: The race to deploy AI and raise skills in Europe and beyond,\" the study highlights how generative AI could automate nearly one-third of working hours in the U.S. and Europe. This shift may lead to a polarization of the labor market, with high-skilled, high-wage jobs facing talent shortages and low-wage industries experiencing a surplus of labor.
The report forecasts a 1.8% rise in high-wage jobs, while low-wage positions could decrease by 1.4%. Specifically, Germany is expected to see around 3 million jobs impacted by AI by 2030, accounting for 7% of its total employment. Administrative office jobs in companies and public institutions are projected to be the most affected, making up 54% of all AI-impacted positions.
As AI continues to evolve, the global workforce must adapt to these changes, emphasizing the need for skill development and strategic planning to navigate the new future of work. 📈💼✨
