China Launches Asia’s First Cylindrical Offshore Oil Platform 🚀🛢️

China has successfully installed Asia's first cylindrical floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) facility, named Haikui No. 1, at the Liuhua oilfield in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, South China Sea, this Monday. 🌊🛠️

The Haikui No. 1 represents a significant advancement in offshore energy, serving as a versatile platform for crude oil production, storage, and export. Standing nearly 30 stories high and weighing approximately 37,000 tonnes, this colossal structure is a testament to Chinese engineering prowess.

Crafted by skilled Chinese experts, the FPSO boasts nearly 600,000 intricately assembled components and has a maximum displacement of 100,000 tonnes. With an oil storage capacity of 60,000 tonnes, Haikui No. 1 is designed to operate continuously at sea for up to 15 years, processing up to 5,600 tonnes of crude oil daily. 🛢️🔧

This milestone underscores China's growing influence in the global offshore energy sector and paves the way for future developments in deep-water, ultra-large-scale oil and gas projects. 🌍💡
