NTSB Investigates Boeing 737 MAX 9 Door Blowout Incident 🛫🔍

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) kicked off the first of two days of intensive hearings on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., diving deep into the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 door panel blowout that occurred on January 5 over Portland, Oregon.

Investigations revealed that workers at Boeing's Renton factory failed to properly secure a crucial fuselage piece, leading to the dramatic blowout of the door panel during the flight. The incident involved 171 passengers and six crew members, with eight passengers sustaining minor injuries.

These hearings are expected to feature testimonies from key players including Boeing, its supplier Spirit AeroSystems, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA had preemptively grounded approximately 171 Boeing 737-9 MAX planes in response to the door panel incident.
