Jordan's Health Ministry announced on Monday the country's first mpox case of 2024. A 33-year-old non-Jordanian male developed a mpox rash and was diagnosed through laboratory tests .
The patient is currently isolated at Al Basheer Hospitals in Amman and is in stable condition.
The ministry assured that it will continue to monitor mpox closely and manage any new cases as per the national plan, working alongside relevant authorities . It's worth noting that Jordan previously recorded a mpox case back in 2022.
