Tanzania’s Mega Projects Get Thumbs Up from AfDB Chief 🛫🛣️

Africa’s infrastructure game just leveled up! 🌍 African Development Bank (AfDB) President Akinwumi Adesina gave a glowing review to two Chinese-built projects in Tanzania this weekend, calling them "transformational" for the region. The verdict came after a tour with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan – think of it as a power duo inspecting the future of East Africa’s connectivity.

Airport Ambitions Take Flight

First stop: the Msalato International Airport, a 4,500-hectare beast being built by Chinese firms. Once complete, it’ll handle 1.5 million passengers yearly – that’s enough to fill 30,000 Boeing 737s! ✈️ Transport Minister Makame Mbarawa says it’ll be Tanzania’s second-largest airport, turbocharging tourism and cross-border trade.

Roads to Riches 🚗💨

Next up: the 112km Dodoma City Outer Ring Road, a sleek dual carriageway by AVIC International and China Civil Engineering. Adesina called it a regional game-changer, joking that it’s "the kind of road that makes your GPS smile." More seriously, it’s expected to slash travel times and boost local economies.

President Hassan thanked the AfDB for backing these projects, which align with Tanzania’s Vision 2025 development goals. With these infrastructure glow-ups, Tanzania’s ready to roll out the red carpet for investors and adventurers alike. 🌟
