Spring Festival Return Rush Sets New Records on the Chinese Mainland

🇨🇳✨ Saturday marks the last day of the Spring Festival holiday in the Chinese mainland, and the rush to return to work or home is in full swing across the country.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the peak number of vehicles on the highways is expected to reach 65.2 million from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, approximately 1.75 times the average traffic volume during the Spring Festival. 🚗🚛

To ensure a smooth return for millions of passengers, railway, road, and aviation departments are implementing multiple measures across the nation. 🛤️✈️🚌

On Friday alone, 799 trains departed Zhengzhou East Railway Station, carrying 150,000 passengers, as reported by China Media Group (CMG). By Saturday, tickets from Zhengzhou East Railway Station to major destinations like Wuhan, Chengdu, Lanzhou, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou were all sold out. 🎟️🚄

In central China's Hubei Province, Wuhan Tianhe International Airport continued its high-volume operations, serving 702 flights and 105,000 passengers on Thursday. Similarly, Wuhan Railway Station handled 568 trains on Friday, accommodating 838,000 passengers, according to CMG. 📈🛫🚅
