Xining Wildlife Park Celebrates Snow Leopards on International Day 🐆🌍

Xining Wildlife Park in Qinghai province hosted a vibrant exhibition this week to mark the International Day of the Snow Leopard, spotlighting efforts to protect these elusive “ghosts of the mountains.” 🏔️ The event featured photos, videos, and artifacts showcasing the lives of 12 snow leopards rescued by park rangers in recent years—a testament to China’s conservation strides.

Visitors, including student groups, learned how the park’s wildlife rescue center rehabilitates injured or orphaned leopards. Several have been successfully released back into the wild, while current residents Ling Xiaozhe and Ling Xiaomang (rescued earlier this year) are still on their #RoadToRecovery. 🩺🐾

Snow leopards, classified as a top-level protected species in China, thrive in high-altitude regions like Qinghai, Xizang, and Gansu. Their survival is critical to maintaining Himalayan and Central Asian ecosystems. 🌿 Pro tip: Follow the park’s social media for updates on Ling duo’s progress!
