From Rubble to Reels: Teen’s Photography Journey After Xizang Quake 🌄📸

In the wake of a magnitude-6.8 earthquake that shook Dingri County in the Xizang Autonomous Region, a heartwarming story of hope and creativity has emerged. Thirteen-year-old Tenzin Thapa found an unexpected passion for photography after crossing paths with Tsering Samdrup, a reporter with the Xizang Forest Fire Brigade.

Samdrup, documenting rescue efforts, became an unlikely mentor to Thapa. Captivated by the power of Samdrup’s lens, the teen asked to learn the craft. 'He showed me how to frame stories through the camera,' Thapa shared. Within days, the boy captured striking images of his community rebuilding—photos now circulating online and earning cheers from loved ones.
