The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge has reached a major milestone with the completion of its main structure in southwest China's Guizhou Province. The spectacular suspension bridge boasts a vertical height of 625 meters from the deck to the river below, positioning it to become the world's tallest bridge once fully completed.
Measuring 2,890 meters in length with a span of 1,420 meters, the Huajiang Bridge stands as the largest span bridge ever constructed in a mountainous area. The final steel girder, weighing approximately 215 tonnes, was meticulously hoisted into place, marking the culmination of years of engineering excellence.
Construction began in 2022 and the bridge is slated to open to traffic by 2025. This impressive feat not only enhances connectivity in the region but also showcases the innovative spirit and technical prowess of the Chinese mainland’s infrastructure projects. 🌉✨
