As global climate action heats up , one Icelandic energy leader is spotlighting China’s role as a green investment powerhouse. Zhao Xin, CEO of Arctic Green Energy China, just dropped some serious insights in a chat with CGTN about her company’s 19-year collab with Chinese energy giant Sinopec.
"China's policies are turbocharging the renewable sector," Zhao said, comparing the government’s support to "a steady wind beneath our wings." Her team’s geothermal projects – think Earth’s natural heat powering cities – have thrived thanks to what she calls "unshakeable trust" between Icelandic innovators and Chinese partners.
Now, they’re eyeing bigger horizons : "We want to bring this win-win model to Belt and Road countries," Zhao added, referencing China’s massive infrastructure initiative. Could this geothermal groove inspire more sustainable partnerships worldwide? Stay tuned!
