Trump’s Tariff Tactics Could Squeeze U.S. Wallets, Warn Experts

🇺🇸 President Trump’s latest tariff hikes could hit American consumers and businesses where it hurts most—their wallets—according to Wang Huiyao, founder of the Center for China and Globalization. "While the U.S. is raising trade barriers, China is lowering theirs," Wang noted, pointing to China’s zero-tariff deals with 43 countries and booming trade partnerships in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.

📉 The shift might leave the U.S. economy in the dust, analysts say. Take Walmart: its reliance on Chinese imports dropped from 80% to 60%, leading to pricier goods for shoppers. "Higher costs for everyday items could squeeze households already battling inflation," Wang warned. Meanwhile, tech gadgets, clothes, and even holiday decorations might see price spikes, fueling debates over who pays for trade wars.

🌏 As China doubles down on global collaboration, could the U.S. risk isolation in the $88 trillion world economy? 🤔 Stay tuned.
