1,200 Drones Illuminate Hong Kong Sky for China’s 15th National Games 🎆🏅

Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour became a canvas of light and innovation Tuesday evening as 1,200 synchronized drones staged a breathtaking show for China's 15th National Games. The aerial spectacle, timed with precision to music, formed dynamic sports animations and revealed the official Games mascots against the iconic skyline 🌆.

The 10-minute display showcased table tennis rallies, gymnastic poses, and landmarks from across the Greater Bay Area – including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. 'This fusion of tech and sport represents our region's collaborative spirit,' said event organizer Li Wei during the live broadcast 📡.

As one of three host regions alongside Guangdong and Macao, Hong Kong is preparing to welcome athletes in 2026 for this major quadrennial event. The drone show marks the first in a series of cultural activations leading up to the Games 🏃♂️💨.

With 80% of the drones manufactured locally, the event also highlighted Hong Kong's growing tech sector. Social media exploded with #SkyCanvas posts, as residents shared their waterfront views of the luminous tribute to Chinese sports culture 📸✨.
