DPRK Leader Honors Chinese War Martyrs 🌹🇰🇵🇨🇳

In a gesture underscoring historical ties, DPRK leader Kim Jong Un marked the 74th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteers’ (CPV) entry into the Korean War by sending a wreath to the China-DPRK Friendship Tower in Pyongyang. The tower commemorates fallen Chinese soldiers who fought alongside the DPRK during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953).

The wreath, inscribed with “We will remember the martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteers forever,” was placed at the monument by senior official Ri Il Hwan, acting on Kim’s behalf. The tribute highlights the enduring alliance between the two nations, forged during a pivotal chapter of 20th-century history.

📜 The anniversary, observed annually, reflects shared reverence for CPV sacrifices. Over 1 million Chinese troops supported the DPRK during the conflict, cementing a bond that continues to shape diplomatic relations today. Earlier this year, Chinese officials also laid wreaths at the tower during a high-profile visit to Pyongyang.
