Hezbollah Rockets Strike Near Tel Aviv Amid Escalating Tensions 🌍🚀

Rockets fired by Lebanon’s Hezbollah struck near Tel Aviv on Sunday, marking one of the most intense attacks since clashes began last October. The barrage came hours after an Israeli airstrike killed 29 people in Beirut, escalating tensions as U.S.-led ceasefire talks hang in the balance. 💥

Residents in Petah Tikvah, east of Tel Aviv, reported multiple impact sites and minor injuries, with footage showing apartment buildings engulfed in flames. The Israeli military confirmed 250 rockets were launched, many intercepted by air defenses. Meanwhile, IDF strikes leveled Hezbollah command centers in Beirut’s southern suburbs, which it claims were hidden among civilian structures. 🏙️🔥

Ceasefire Push & Casualties Rise

Lebanon’s health ministry reported at least 84 deaths this weekend, bringing the total toll since October 2023 to 3,754. Over 1 million Lebanese have been displaced, while tens of thousands of Israelis remain evacuated from northern border towns. 🕊️

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell urged acceptance of a U.S. ceasefire proposal, pledging €200 million to bolster Lebanon’s army. Despite Axios reporting Israel’s ‘movement toward a deal,’ Kan public broadcaster noted unresolved issues. Diplomatic efforts aim to revive the 2006 UN Resolution 1701, which demands Hezbollah’s withdrawal from the Israeli border.

‘A Bloody Message’

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned an Israeli strike that killed a soldier near Tyre, calling it rejection of peace efforts. The IDF called the incident ‘regrettable’ and stressed it targets Hezbollah, not Lebanon’s military. 🌐⚔️

With rockets and airstrikes continuing daily, global leaders race to prevent a full-scale war—all eyes now turn to Israel’s response to the ceasefire terms.
