Political Turmoil Unfolds
Yoon repeatedly refused to comply with three summonses for questioning, according to investigators. Despite submitting a written defense hours after the warrant request, the Seoul Western District Court ruled against him. His impeachment, passed by the National Assembly on December 14, suspends his presidential powers while the Constitutional Court deliberates for up to 180 days.
