China and Japan Ruling Parties Commit to Continued Dialogue 🌏🤝

In a significant move for East Asian politics, the ruling parties of China and Japan have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close dialogue and communication, regardless of challenges that may arise in their bilateral relations. 🌏🤝

The agreement was reached during the ninth meeting of the China-Japan ruling parties exchange mechanism, held in Beijing. Representatives from the Communist Party of China (CPC), Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, and Komeito Party emphasized the importance of their ongoing collaboration.

Since their first meeting in 2006, the exchange mechanism has been a cornerstone in shaping China-Japan relations. The recent consensus marks a significant milestone, especially after a hiatus of over six years.

Both parties engaged in open discussions about their roles in upholding international order based on law, amidst global uncertainties. Key focus areas included enhancing mutual trust, expanding cultural exchanges, and deepening cooperative efforts that benefit both nations.

The ruling parties also addressed pressing issues such as Japan's decision to discharge nuclear-contaminated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station into the ocean and the importation of Japanese seafood products. 🐟🌊

Looking ahead, the parties plan to continue their dialogue, with the 10th meeting scheduled to take place in Japan this autumn. The goal is to build a stable and constructive relationship that aligns with the demands of the new era. ✨
