Iran Pushes for Peaceful Nuclear Deal Amid Tensions with U.S. 🌍⚛️

Iran has renewed calls for a "peaceful nuclear agreement" with the United States to resolve a decades-long standoff, but insists it won’t compromise its security. Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh made the announcement Tuesday, accusing Washington of sending "conflicting messages" through third countries about reviving negotiations.

The two nations last held nuclear talks in June 2025 before tensions exploded into a 12-day war involving Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Since then, discussions have stalled, with Tehran claiming the U.S. "betrayed diplomacy" during the conflict.

Key sticking points remain: The U.S. demands Iran halt all uranium enrichment on its soil—a "red line" Tehran refuses to cross. Meanwhile, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently ruled out negotiating "under threat," while Khatibzadeh reiterated Iran’s nuclear program is "solely for peaceful purposes."

In a surprise move, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated in October 2025 that America’s "hand of friendship" remains open—a gesture met with skepticism in Tehran. With both sides digging in, the path to diplomacy looks rockier than ever. 💥
