Sudan’s Kordofan Crisis: Over 65,000 Displaced as Violence Escalates 🌍💔

Humanitarian Emergency Unfolds in Sudan

Escalating violence in Sudan's Kordofan region has triggered a mass exodus, with over 65,000 civilians forced to flee their homes since late October 2025, according to UN reports. The situation worsened dramatically this week, with fresh displacements reported across multiple locations.

📈 Rising Numbers, Shrinking Safety

Recent IOM data shows nearly 1,000 people fled South Kordofan between December 31 and January 4, while 2,000 more were displaced in North Kordofan on Monday alone. A deadly drone strike in El Obeid this week reportedly killed 13 civilians, including children, marking one of the conflict's darkest moments.

🚨 UN Sounds Alarm

UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric urgently called for 'immediate cessation of hostilities' and demanded safe humanitarian access. 'Civilians are paying the ultimate price,' he stated, emphasizing the need for international attention to prevent further catastrophe.
