Iran and U.S. Set for Crucial Nuclear Talks in Geneva 🌍⚛️

Iran and the United States are gearing up for a high-stakes second round of indirect nuclear talks in Geneva this week, with tensions simmering and global eyes on diplomacy. The discussions, scheduled for Tuesday, follow February 6 talks in Muscat that laid groundwork but left key issues unresolved. 🔥

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi told the BBC Sunday that "the ball is in the U.S. court" to prove commitment to a deal. Tehran has offered to dilute its 60% enriched uranium stockpiles—a gesture Ravanchi called "proof of willingness"—but insists sanctions relief must be part of any agreement. 💼

"Our missile program is non-negotiable," Ravanchi stressed, adding that Iran won’t compromise on defensive capabilities. He also warned against U.S. military buildup in West Asia, stating another war would be "traumatic for everybody." ⚠️

While both sides describe the Muscat talks as moving "in a positive direction," Ravanchi emphasized that zero uranium enrichment in Iran is "not on the table". The Geneva round could determine whether 2026 becomes a breakthrough year for nuclear diplomacy—or a relapse into crisis. 🤝
