🔍 Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared under oath on Thursday (February 26) that she had "no idea" about Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking crimes, calling a House Oversight Committee probe a "distraction" from President Trump’s ties to the late financier.
Clinton’s Fiery Statement
In a pre-testimony social media post, Clinton stated: "I never flew on [Epstein’s] plane or visited his island… This committee knows I have no relevant information." She accused lawmakers of using the hearing to shield Trump, whose name appears "tens of thousands of times" in Epstein’s files.
Bill Clinton’s Turn
Former President Bill Clinton will testify Friday (February 27) in a historic deposition—marking the first congressional testimony by a former U.S. president since 1983. Both Clintons agreed to appear after rejecting initial sworn statement offers.
Committee Chair Pushes Back
Rep. James Comer denied targeting the Clintons politically, stating: "No one is accusing them of wrongdoing." He confirmed testimony videos and transcripts will be public. Over 3 million pages of Epstein-related documents have been released since 2025 under a congressional mandate.
Epstein died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His associate Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence.
