Sudan Drone Strikes Kill 69 Civilians Amid Escalating Conflict 🌍💔

At least 69 civilians were killed in two separate drone strikes in Sudan this week, marking a devastating escalation in the country’s ongoing conflict. The attacks targeted a crowded transport truck and a school-health center complex, drawing global condemnation.

On Tuesday, a drone hit a civilian truck in Abu Zabad, West Kordofan state, killing 52 people. Eyewitnesses described heartbreaking scenes as survivors rushed to overwhelmed hospitals with limited supplies. “Most victims were women and children,” a volunteer told local media.

A second strike on Wednesday struck Shukairi village near Kosti, White Nile state, killing 17 people—including students, teachers, and patients at a health center. The Sudanese Doctors Network called it a “deliberate attack on unarmed civilians,” violating international law.

No group has claimed responsibility, but tensions between Sudan’s army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have intensified. The RSF recently escalated drone attacks on army-held areas, worsening a humanitarian crisis that has displaced millions since fighting began in April 2023.

As aid organizations struggle to respond, the world watches—and hopes for peace. 💔✊
