Shanghai Unveils One-Stop Service Center to Boost Used Car Exports 🚗✨

Exciting news for the automotive export industry! 🚗 Shanghai has officially launched its first in-port used car export inspection point, aiming to make the export process smoother and more cost-effective.

The brand-new Shanghai Port Used Car Export Comprehensive Service Center offers one-stop services for vehicle registration and port logistics to used car export enterprises in Shanghai and nearby provinces. This means businesses can now handle all their export needs in a single location, saving time and reducing transportation costs.

\"The establishment of the service center will significantly improve the capital turnover rate and time efficiency for used car export enterprises,\" said Zhang Wen, general manager of Shanghai Leiyin Car Service Co., Ltd., to the local media Shanghai Observer.

Previously, used cars had to be transported to a vehicle management office within Shanghai for transfer procedures before being shipped to the port. With the new center, this process is streamlined, making exports quicker and cheaper.

Since launching a pilot program in 10 cities in 2019, including Beijing, Tianjin, and Qingdao, China's used car export sector has rapidly grown, expanding nationwide in March. In 2023 alone, China exported 275,000 used cars, generating a whopping $6.88 billion in revenue, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

As one of the first pilot cities, Shanghai is experiencing a soaring demand for used car exports. The municipal government has introduced a series of supportive measures to further enhance the city's international, law-based, and convenient business environment. 🌍💼
