Despite the bone-chilling temperatures dipping to minus-16 degrees Celsius, the flame was lit using a convex lens, creating a mesmerizing blend of ice and fire. This stunning spectacle perfectly captured the radiant energy and passion driving winter sports.
The torch, inspired by the Olympic Council of Asia's logo, featured the \"Surging\" design theme, symbolizing the vitality and enthusiasm of the Games. It also honored the friendships among athletes from across Asia. The torch relay will continue until February 6, with an online relay also underway to engage fans worldwide.
Harbin is all set to host the Asian Winter Games from February 7-14, showcasing six sports, 11 disciplines, and 64 thrilling events.
A total of 1,275 athletes from 34 nations and regions, including newcomers Cambodia and Saudi Arabia, are registered to compete in Harbin 2025. This edition is poised to be the largest in the history of the Asian snow and ice showpiece.
