When disaster strikes, speed is everything. Throughout 2025, the Red Cross Society of China didn't just show up—they went all in. The organization activated 228 emergency operations and deployed 2,580 rescue teams, delivering over 400 million yuan (about $55 million) in essential supplies and funds. From tackling severe floods in Beijing and Hebei Province to responding to the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong, they were right where they needed to be. 🛡️
But it's not just about reacting to crises; it's about empowering people. The society turned the Chinese mainland into a hub for safety education, reaching nearly 14.48 million people through workshops, evacuation drills, and lectures. The stats are wild: over 6.21 million people completed certified first-aid training in 2025 alone! Thanks to 334 million yuan from the central lottery public welfare fund, medical assistance reached over 16,000 children with serious illnesses, including 12,000 children battling leukemia or congenital heart disease. ❤️

With 200,000 volunteers serving in blood donation teams and 170,000 new records added to the China Marrow Donor Program (CMDP), the community impact is huge.
