The tragedy unfolded this past Monday around 4:43 p.m. at the Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Display Company. The plant is located in Liuyang, a county-level city under Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province.
According to reports from China Media Group, search and rescue operations have now basically been completed. The final toll is heavy: 37 people have lost their lives. 🕯️
The impact of the blast was severe, leaving many others fighting for recovery. As of Friday noon, 51 people are currently being treated in hospitals, while one person remains unaccounted for. 🏥
