Culture Bridges the Gap! 🏮 3rd Cross-Strait Chinese Culture Summit Kicks Off in Beijing

Imagine a gathering where art, history, and heritage bring people together from different sides of the water. That's exactly what's happening right now in Beijing! 🌏✨

The third Cross-Strait Chinese Culture Summit just kicked off, bringing together over 800 representatives from various cultural sectors across the Taiwan Strait. The vibe? All about connection, heritage, and looking toward a shared future.

Preserving the Roots 📚

Wang Huning, a top political advisor and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, shared a powerful message on Monday. He urged people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to take on the mission of preserving and promoting Chinese culture.

According to Wang, the summit highlights a shared belief: the territory cannot be divided and the civilization cannot be interrupted. He encouraged everyone to build a strong sense of community and boost their confidence in their cultural roots. 🤝

Calling the Youth to Action 🚀

In a special shout-out to the younger generation, Wang encouraged young people across the strait to develop a correct understanding of history, the nation, and the state, urging them to channel their energy into national rejuvenation. He also reaffirmed the one-China principle and the 1992 Consensus, speaking out against "Taiwan independence" and any attempts to cut the cultural ties that bind the two sides.

Unity Through Heritage 🏮

Chang Jung-kung, vice chairman of the Kuomintang, echoed these sentiments, reminding everyone that people on both sides of the strait belong to one family, all nurtured by the same rich culture. He stressed that pursuing peace and development starts with a common political foundation, specifically the 1992 Consensus.

What's Happening at the Summit? 🎤

The event isn't just about speeches! Song Tao, head of both the Taiwan Work Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, presided over the opening ceremony. The summit features a jam-packed schedule
